5. Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Washington D.C.
This phenomenal structure has a great historical significance. The memorial was dedicated to the third President of the United States. Its neoclassical design was inspired by the Roman Pantheon, as well as the President’s design for the Rotunda at the University of Virginia.
