11. Emerald Ice on Lake Baikal
Lake Baikal in Russia looks like most of the other lakes in the world until you notice the Turquoise-blue, emerald-like ice that the water freezes into, during the winter season. This is a sight to behold, indeed! The lake, per se, is believed to be at least 25 million years old and is the home to many rare species of flora and fauna.
