36.Anne Frank House, Amsterdam, Netherlands
A museum with a bittersweet story. The very notebooks where young Anne chronicled her day to day life hiding from the Nazi are on display in the museum.
37.Arthur’s Seat, Edinburgh, Scotland
If you are lucky to be in Edinburgh on a sunny day, put on your most comfortable shoes and enjoy the lovely peaceful views from Arthur’s seat.
38.Sistine Chapel, Vatican City
This chapel is more than just an artistic wonder: it’s a symbolic monument of papal authority, and a sacred place where bishops conclave for the birth of a new pope.
39.Neva River, Russia
Local and visitors alike descend to the Neva during winter to enjoy an early evening romantic stroll along the granite-clad embankments.
40.Casa Batllo, Barcelona, Spain
Another Gudi masterpiece: a stunning building that seemed to have been made from skulls and bones. The balconies were made to resemble skulls and the pillars to look like bones.
as far as am concerned, Italy is always my number 1. i wish i was born in Italy. nice article tho
what an awesome piece. your hard work in putting this great piece together is highly appreciated. thanks!
this is really an eye opener. i would always come back to learn more. very informative!
the last I looked, Russia is not geographically located in Europe. but it is a nice place to be.
what a boring list. Europe itself is fucking boring
I disagree with #6 and you should replace them with fjords.
Yes! Finally someone writes about site.
I think Spain should not be here. i did not enjoy myself in that so called country.
nice blog, nice content but wrong method of posting articles. would have appreciated it if all was on a single page or at worst 2
Great list and many thanks for taking the time to put it together.
– the last I looked, Russia is not Europe, neither geographically, politically, nor culturally.
– some great places in this list indeed, but I’m surprised that none of the Norwegian highlights are in: fjords, Preikestolen, Kjeragbolten, Trolltunga… they beat many of the man-made sites in the list (and Norway is Europe) – so consider replacing the Russian sites with the Norwegians?
– I think Orsay museum should be replaced by Mont St Michel
In any case, I enjoyed looking through these.
Cheers
