46.Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin, Ireland
A prison to some of Ireland’s most famous political and military leaders, it still gives the same creeps it exudes for being an incarceration facility from 1796- 1924.
47.Palace of Versailles, Yvelines, France
Apart from the obvious grandeur of this ancient royal residence and government center, its breathtaking gardens transport visitors back to the 17th century.
48.Brandenburg Gate, Berlin, Germany
A symbol of both Germany’s division and reunification, it is the only remaining town gate of Berlin and is one of the city’s most remarkable landmark.
49.Charles Bridge, Prague, Czech Republic
A top must be when in Prague. This bridge is where you should be at sunset. The view of the fully lit Prague Castle against the evening sky is simply stellar.
50.Auschwitz Concentration Camp, Poland
A virtual synonym for the Holocaust, this camp is actually three in one: a slave-labor camp, a prison camp, and an extermination camp.
as far as am concerned, Italy is always my number 1. i wish i was born in Italy. nice article tho
what an awesome piece. your hard work in putting this great piece together is highly appreciated. thanks!
this is really an eye opener. i would always come back to learn more. very informative!
the last I looked, Russia is not geographically located in Europe. but it is a nice place to be.
what a boring list. Europe itself is fucking boring
I disagree with #6 and you should replace them with fjords.
Yes! Finally someone writes about site.
I think Spain should not be here. i did not enjoy myself in that so called country.
nice blog, nice content but wrong method of posting articles. would have appreciated it if all was on a single page or at worst 2
Great list and many thanks for taking the time to put it together.
– the last I looked, Russia is not Europe, neither geographically, politically, nor culturally.
– some great places in this list indeed, but I’m surprised that none of the Norwegian highlights are in: fjords, Preikestolen, Kjeragbolten, Trolltunga… they beat many of the man-made sites in the list (and Norway is Europe) – so consider replacing the Russian sites with the Norwegians?
– I think Orsay museum should be replaced by Mont St Michel
In any case, I enjoyed looking through these.
Cheers
